A leading FMCG company in the Middle East reached out to us with a requirement to conduct in-store audits regarding their product placement. The requirement was to conduct shelf audit of 11 SKUs across 150 stores during weekdays and within a short span of time.
We engaged our Taskforce and assigned the stores to different cohorts by geo fencing each store individually. BusyBees closest to the store’s location were allotted the store due to which the taskforce was ready and out in the field in no time. Questions related to product placement (shelf space), promotions, stock availability, price, ease in finding the product, other competitor brands present, etc. were added in the app survey and Busybees were asked to complete multiple choice questions, free text questions, provide location stamps and photographs of the product on the shelves. Gamification of the task created a sense of urgency within our community.
The client received complete quarterly audits at half the cost, was able to understand product shelf placements & price differences based on different store types and gain insight on the promotions run by retailers. In addition to this, the client was also able to analyze various retail stores in terms of their distribution strategy and review their branding in comparison to other products near the shelves
